Modular Patch - Random Addressed Fixed Voltage Sequencer

With this patch, I intend to demonstrate how to setup a randomly addressed sequencer that references fixed voltages. This method allows for specific note selection so it is easy to tune in desired values while retaining a random progression in the sequence.

Set the A-129-3 Vocoder Slew-Limiter channel 1 offset control to 5 and then

patch CV out 1 into the A-152 Addressed T&H/Switch SW I/O channel 1 input. Set the Man N control on the A-149-1 Quantized Random Voltages to 5 and then patch the A-149-1 Quantized Random Voltages n+1 output to the CV In on the A-152. Set the A-152's CV control to 10 and patch a clock signal into the Clk In of the A-149-1.

The result looks like this. The blue trace is the n+1 output of the A-149-1 and the yellow trace is the output from the A-152. Kinda boring at the moment other than the A-149-1 output. We could just call it quits and use the A-149-1 output since that would work fine for a random melody but the goal is to have a little more control over the selection of notes. It looks like we should keep going.

Set the A-129-3 channel 2 offset control to 2 and then

patch CV out 2 into the A-152 channel 2 input.

The result looks like this.

Set the A-129-3 channel 3 offset control to 7 and then

patch CV out 3 into the A-152 channel 3 input.

The result looks like this and is starting to get a little more interesting.

Set the A-129-3 channel 4 offset control to 1 and then

patch CV out 4 into the A-152 channel 4 input.

The result looks like this.

Let's move over to another A-129-3 and continue. Set the A-129-3 channel 1 offset control to 8 and then

patch CV out 1 into the A-152 channel 5 input.

The result looks like this. Let's move the blue trace down out of the way so we have a better view of our signal.

There we go.

While we're at it, here's another shot.

Set the A-129-3 channel 2 offset control to 3 and then

patch CV out 2 into the A-152 channel 6 input.

The result looks like this.

Set the A-129-3 channel 3 offset control to somewhere around 3 and then

patch CV out 3 into the A-152 channel 7 input.

The result looks like this,

and this

oh, and this.

Set the A-129-3 channel 4 offset control to 4 and then

patch CV out 4 into the A-152 channel 8 input.

The final result looks like this.

Another shot of the final result.

And one more.
